The inaugural #teampaul walk was organised by Michelle Bourke to honor her husband Paul who passed away from a rare melanoma called KIT mutant Metastatic Melanoma.
The walk was completed on 16th October 2016. We raised $1,500 for the Peter MacCallum cancer research.
A group of 20 plus family and friends gathered on a Sunday afternoon to walk around Albert Park Lake in purple t-shirts.
In May 2017 to honor Paul’s memory, on his anniversary, Michelle along side family and friends walked around Albert Park Lake in their #teampaul purple t-shirts to raise further funds for Peter MacCallum cancer research.
Each year on Paul’s anniversary, the family plans to continue the #teampaul walk as an annual event around Albert Park Lake to honor Paul’s memory.
